  • The Difference between Female Viagra and Viagra for Men

    They call in female Viagra, though is differs from the blue pill greatly. Some doctors refer it as a sort of an antidepressant, others believe it helps to create a real chemistry between two people, the third ones state that it improves women’s sexual desire.

    Ideas are numerous, yet they all deal with the same result: female Viagra is effective! Dysfunction in women has psychological reasons, including lack of communication with partner, stress, depression, etc. Curing mental causes is harder than physical ones. Yet the pink pill copes. So, let’s see what makes it different from males’ drugs.

    #1 – Color

    Unlike males’ Viagra that is also called a magic blue pill, female version is pink. Well, the color says nothing about its effect or essence. It is just a kind of a well-known stereotype that women like pink. However, when it comes to problems in bed, we don’t really believe that the color is of great importance, do you?

    #2 – Number of Trials

    Female version appeared long after 1998, so it’s obvious that its trials are few. Still, many physicians dwell that this number is not enough to entrust women’s sexual life to pink pills.

    Brand Viagra for males was administered to more than 3,700 patients of different age (19-87) in many countries of the world. More than 500 of them were taking pills about one year. And 77% of them showed amazing results, whereas other 23 % failed in their attempts.

    What about the drug version for women? Only three trials have been conducted. 10% of treated patients reported improvements in sexual desire, distress or sexual events. Sexual performance was enhanced.

    #3 – Daily Use

    Regular Viagra should be taken before the intercourse (40-60 minutes). The new female drug delivers optimal results only if it is taken daily at the same time. That may be either a problem or a benefit. The choice depends on person’s lifestyle.

    Though the intake is what makes male and female Viagra drug versions differ, this is a common feature to female Viagra and Cialis for men. Over the past years Cialis is proven effective if taken in low doses on a daily basis. What’s the result? A man is able to achieve erection whenever he needs or wants.

    #4 – Different Dysfunction Forms Are Treated

    Female Viagra: its active ingredients always target decreased sexual desire. Male Viagra: it’s designed for impotent men to provide erection. Viagra cannot help men to fan desire flames. If ED in a man is caused by some psychological problems, no blue pill will save him. Such men are usually prescribed antidepressants for mental problem overcoming and then the ED drugs for the solution of physical ones.

    #5 – Female Viagra Affects Brain

    It does it in a good sense of the word. Pink pills affect the brain, while blue ones work with the body. Male Viagra’s task is to stimulate the blood vessels in the penile area. The pills that are taken by a woman work as antidepressants, altering chemistry in the brain, stimulating dopamine and serotonin, making women feel great and, what is more important, interested in sex.

    The scientists, who have taken a female Viagra part, are sure that this new medication is revolutionary: most ED drugs deal with the physical side of the problem, which means that psychological ones are neglected. But the absence of sexual desire or stress usually occurs more often both in men and women, and this is where dysfunction types come from.

    In Men

    PDE5 breaks down cGMP before the latter completes its main task. It means that achieving erections is not just difficult, it’s next to impossible. Viagra pills help to hold the PDE5 enzyme for 4-5 hours allowing any man, in any age, regardless of weight, lifestyle or health problems not only get, yet also keep the erection really strong and truly long-lasting.

    In Women

    Working on brain’s chemistry, the active ingredient fires up woman’s libido, increases brain’s chemicals, fosters sexual desire, etc. Its use is especially important for women over 50 or younger ones with serious dysfunction problems.

    Of course, no one guarantees 100% results or even benefits in 70-85% of events as in case with male Viagra, yet still chances are high. Besides, the longer you take the drug on a daily basis, the better the effects are.
    Over the past months the efficacy of the pink pills has been questioned numerous times. The thing is that the results are amazing only in some cases: the sexual desire can be increased by 59% only, but more than 80% women have satisfying sexual events. Well, they should take into account, that it’s a relatively new medication that has no analogues and its best effects and results are to be expected.

    #6 – Side Effects

    When it comes to side effects, there’s no need to hide that both medications can cause mild or severe health complications after the intake. A small blue pill, for example, leads to:

    • back pain;
    • nausea;
    • nasal congestion;
    • headache;
    • muscle tenderness or pain;
    • flushing.

    Their great part disappears, if the drug is used regularly. More serious side effects (vision or hearing loss) can appear in cases of overdose, or combination of Viagra with nitrates. Most men are eager to know whether the cases of durable erections are frequent. They may occur: erection can last for more than four hours, become painful and harder. In such cases medical assistance is required.

    Pink pills are less dangerous. The commonest by-effect reported by patients is drowsiness. According to tests, drowsiness is a result of a pink pill and alcohol combination. Other products that can lead to the same effect are high-fat foods. In fact, aside of drowsiness a woman can suffer from fainting or blood pressure decrease.

    Viagra Study for Women

    The effect of blue pills on women has been tested as well. The most known research evaluated 98 women, who took antidepressants willing to get rid of depression and stress that were the primer causes of sexual dysfunction. All women were premenopausal, who reported many different sexual problems:

    • lack of orgasm;
    • lack of libido;
    • difficulty becoming aroused;
    • difficulty becoming lubricated;
    • delays in achieving orgasms.

    And they were prescribed 50 mg pills for a daily use. The pill was to be taken nearly 2 hours before the intercourse.
    Soon, it was found that only 28% of women improved in sexual functioning after the regular Viagra intake. When all the individual measures were checked, researchers found out that women were more likely to reach orgasms, yet there was no significant difference in lubrication or desire.

    Patients have also reported side effects (43%). Headache was the commonest one. The list of rare ones included transient vision (14%) and dizziness (9%). Depression remained, yet it didn’t get worse during the study. Still no woman has dropped out the study, even though side effects became really persistent. Females, who kept taking Viagra and antidepressants improved their sexual life, yet only for a limited period of time.

    ! Today Viagra or a blue pill, as it is often referred to, is not approved by FDA for women. Of course, it is often used off-label and cannot be covered by insurance. Before a physician prescribes Viagra, he should evaluate woman’s hormone levels. Why? The thing is that normal testosterone levels are of great importance for drug’s successful effects.

    When a woman with a normal testosterone level is prescribed Viagra for dysfunction problems, the medication helps engorge the clitoris with blood and allow having great orgasms. In this case a blue pill acts on a woman’s clitoris pretty much the same as on a man’s penis. It’s true that Viagra cannot affect arousal or desire. Still, it knows other ways to help women and men around the globe prolong their sexual life even if they are over 60-70.

    As you see, the name Viagra is practically the only thing that unites pink and blue pills. Both medications have different ingredients and work in different manners. Nevertheless, there is another thing that makes tem alike: they save people’s sexual life, relationships and families. Good sex leads to better understanding and support. Then why not use pills to make your turn problems into benefits?
